@so.informed, formerly @soyouwanttotalkabout, is an Instagram dedicated to dissecting progressive politics and social issues in graphic slideshow form. With a heavy focus on current events and issues, the So page breaks down complex topics to inform people of all ages, educational backgrounds, and learning capabilities in cogent and concise slideshows.
The So page is a jumping off point for learning about a wide variety of topics - from the inner workings of the U.S. government to actionable steps you can take to make change.
About the creator:
The So page was created by Jess Natale on February 11th, 2020. The inspiration for the page came from my time volunteering for the Bernie Sanders presidential campaign and engaging with voters across the country. In an effort to combat misinformation and to break down topics surrounding the election, the So page was born.
My work on the So page has been featured in The Washington Post, Axios, Vox, Cosmo, and Mashable. I have done interviews with Middle East Eye, No Kill Mag, Stream of Social Conscience, and Let's Give A Damn.
The So page was a 2025 Webby Awards Honoree.
I live in Brooklyn and currently work with non-profits and groups focused on prison abolition and criminal justice reform. I have a background in journalism, marketing, and politics. My passion lies in advocating for human rights.
